In conjunction with our residential and outpatient treatment programs Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is offered to provide clients with the best chance for sustained recovery.
As part of a comprehensive treatment plan, Medication-Assisted Treatment is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders, in particular, opioid and alcohol abuse. The medications aid in managing cravings and withdrawal symptoms to reduce instances of relapse and enhance overall recovery.
Under the guidance of our Outpatient Medical Director, an X-Waivered Pediatrician who meets with the clients on a regular basis, we are positioned to provide specialized services, including Medication-Assisted Treatment to adults and youth over the age of 16, at risk of developing or actively using opioids. Medication-Assisted Treatment is available to individuals participating in the following programs:
“The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that pediatricians consider offering medication-assisted treatment to their adolescent and young adult patients with severe opioid use disorders or discuss referrals to other providers for this service.”
